Happy Christmas 22/12/2009
The Cog-wheel Trust wishes all its friends and supporters a very happy Christmas. Cogwheel is closed from 23 December 2009 until 3 January 2010 to allow its staff to spend time with families. Cogwheel re-opens on 4 January and wishes everybody a very happy 2010.

Job Opportunities at Cogwheel 30/09/2009

Funding Challenge: Cogwheel-at-Soham 12/08/2009
Cogwheel has run a very successful counselling service in Soham for more than two years now. Continuing to fund this project is one of the biggest challenges facing Cogwheel. We desperately need new funder(s) to come forward.

Cogwheel Cambridge North Project 08/08/2009
On 1 June 2009, Cogwheel started a new pilot project in partnership with Cambridge North Locality and Histon and Impington Schools' Cluster offering family therapy services to families of children and young people in Cambridge North area schools. The service level is 2.5 days a week and 3 Cogwheel therapists have been re-deployed to the project.

Possible Temp post in June 21/05/2009

Grant from LLoyds TSB Foundation 16/01/2009
Thanks to a grant from Lloyd's TSB Foundation towards its Transforming Lives project, Cogwheel will be able to continue its endeavours to make counselling services more accessible to the people of Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas for a further two years

Happy Christmas from Cogwheel 18/12/2008
Cogwheel marks Christmas this year by launching its CYPLS project offering counselling to children and young people in Sawston and Linton in partnership with Sawston & Linton Area Locality Heads. The newly appointed counsellor takes up her post on 8 January 2009. The Cog-wheel Trust closes from 24 December 2008 to 1 January 2009 to allow our team to spend quality time with their families.

Cogwheel goes into partnership with SureStart 05/11/2008
Cogwheel has entered into a Service Level Agreement with Sure-Start to offer a one day a week family therapy service based at Children's Centres in Soham, Bottisham, Burwell and Cheveley. The service started on 5 November 2008

Cogwheel opens service at Sawston 05/08/2008
Cogwheel has entered into partnership with The John Huntingdon Charity, as sponsors, and Sawston Medical Centre to provide a counselling service in Sawston which started on 5 August 2008 and the plan is that two counsellors will work there, each offering one day of service. Cogwheel is very grateful to The John Huntingdon Charity, Sawston Medical Centre and The Friends of Sawston Medical Centre for enabling this service to be delivered for the people of Sawston area.

The Cog-wheel Trust celebrates its twentieth birthday 26/04/2008
The Cog-wheel Trust celebrated its twentieth birthday by an ecumenical service for the team, trustees and supporters at which its Annual Report was published. This was followed by a very enjoyable social gathering where memories were shared, friendships were renewed and new networks formed

The Cog-wheel Team celebrate Christmas 21/12/2007
Cogwheel is taking its annual Christmas break from 24th December 2007 to 1st January 2008 to allow the team members have quality time with their families. We re-open again on 2nd January. May we wish all who visit this site a very happy Christmas and all the best for 2008. Our new year wish is to be here to listen to those who come to us in distress in Cambridge or Soham or wherever we are being led. On January 7th, we will welcome our newly appointed Resource Co-ordinator to his post.

Cambridge Concert Orchestra supports Cogwheel 22/11/2007
On 24th November, Cambridge Concert Orchestra are putting on an evening of musical entertainment at Saffron Walden Baptist Church at 7.30 p.m. to support Cogwheel. Entrance is on the door (£5 with £4 concessions). The programme includes, 'Finalndia' by Sibelius, 'Cockney Suite' by Ketelbey, 'English Folk Song Suite' by Vaughan Williams, 'Haunted Ballroom' by Toye, 'Spartacus' by North.

The Cogwheel Trust is now advertising for a full-time Resource Co-ordinator to co-ordinate client services and provide administration and book-keeping to our expanding counselling service. The post requires good peole and business skills. Fund-raising experience is an advantage

Cogwheel-At-Soham 26/07/2007
In May, Cogwheel set up a pilot counselling satellite counselling service at Soham. Thanks to funding by East Cambs District Council, Soham United Charities, the hospitlaity and generosity of Staploe Medical Centre it has been possible to extend this pilot. We are hoping that with funding from Soham Town Council, we will be able to continue pilot for a year and be able to plan for a future Cogwheel-At-Soham service.

Cogwheel Foundation Landmark 05/03/2007
The Cog-Wheel Trust celebrated its nineteenth birthday on 28 April with a service and social event. It is twenty years since the birth of the Cogwheel idea and it is nineteen years since The Cog-Wheel Trust gained charitable trust status. We are very grateful to generous benefactors who have enabled us to help so many. We are counting on continued support from well wishers to provide vital psychological help to children, young people, couples, families and individuals who seek our help.
