We are very grateful to Cogwheel Counselling trustee David Wilson, who decided to take on the 23km race at the Mont-Blanc Marathon in June and raised over £600 for us.
The Mont-Blanc Marathon is a series of races that take place over four days, with distances ranging from 10km to 90km. Set in the stunning scenery of the Chamonix valley, the 23km race has a maximum race time of six hours, with the final part of the route overlooking the Mont-Blanc Massif.
Completing the distance in a little over five hours and 20 minutes, David commented, “It was a great day – pretty exhausting, but (mostly!) hugely enjoyable. The scenery was amazing – and cold beer and hot dogs were provided at the finish line. What more could you ask for?!”
Everyone at Cogwheel would like to thank David for this amazing effort – the funds raised could provide 38 subsidised counselling sessions through our Counselling Support Fund.
It’s also not too late to show support for David – you can still donate on his Just Giving page.
