Events

Community fundraising for Cogwheel can raise much-needed funds as well as providing enjoyment to volunteers and participants alike and increasing the profile of the charity.

Our planned events for 2020 were unfortunately affected by the Covid-19 lockdown and we hope that everyone will be more fortunate with events in 2021.

Meanwhile, we have successfully held our Virtual Spring Quiz and will continue hosting online events.

We hope to able to return to in-person running events later in the year.

If you are interested in volunteering in Cambridge, we often need volunteers to help with various events – from fun runs to bucket shaking at local fairs. Please visit our events page to see the kind of events we host and what’s coming up.

Last year we were able to organise Cogwheel’s first virtual quiz at the end of November with 27 teams and 80+ participants hoping to raise over £800.

We also held a virtual Cogwheel 5k Canter over the 2020 Christmas holiday period.

We keep a register of volunteers who we can call on for events. If you would like further information on any of the events please do get in touch with our Business Support & Fundraising Manager Neil Davies at neil@cogwheel.org.uk.

You can also get involved by holding an event of your own and raise funds for Cogwheel. Visit our fundraising page.
