Cogwheel is a longstanding and well-respected local charity delivering affordable counselling to adults, couples, families as well as children and young people in the local area. With the impact of the pandemic in amongst other pressures, young people’s mental health has been noticeably affected and the demand for our service has soared. We are looking to recruit two children and young people (CYP) counsellors either fully qualified and looking to increase their clinical experience or in the latter part of their training. Ideally, each position would be for a caseload of 5 clients but we would be willing to consider, particularly for a trainee, anyone only able to see 3 clients. Sessions would be delivered in-person from our offices in Devonshire Road. If you are interested in this exciting opportunity, please do get in touch with our Head of Services by emailing headofservices@cogwheel.org.uk to arrange an initial, informal conversation.
