Join us for the Cogwheel Cambridge Coronation Stride

After several months of planning, we’re very excited to be able to open registration for our brand new event, the Cogwheel Cambridge Coronation Stride.

Created to mark our 35th anniversary and the Coronation, the Stride is a 27-mile self-guided walk around the perimeter of Cambridge, with shorter options of 13 and 6 miles for walkers and runners, all taking place on Sunday 7th May as part of the Coronation weekend.

The Stride uses the historic River Cam as the spine of the walk, with Grantchester Meadows as its most southerly point before it rejoins the Cam past Stourbridge Common on the northern part of the route, and passes through a number of charming Cambridgeshire villages.

All entry proceeds from the Stride will go to help meet the cost of the event and support Cogwheel in its mission to provide affordable mental health counselling for individuals and families in Cambridgeshire.

We would very much like to encourage walkers/runners taking part to obtain personal sponsorship for Cogwheel, and free entry is available for anyone committing to a fundraising target of £100.

Full details, including an outline of the route and information on how to take part in this special community event, are on the event website.
