Blues musician Martin McNeill recently set up a Facebook fundraiser selling his latest CD, Sweet Soul Slide, to raise money for Cogwheel.
With an original target of £500, supporters were asked to donate at least £7 for a copy of the CD, with all proceeds going directly to Cogwheel. Within just three weeks, the fundraiser had gone way beyond this target, raising more than £1,100.
Recorded in July 2021, Sweet Soul Slide features classic tunes such as Dock of the Bay, Rainy Night in Georgia, Dark End of the Street, My Girl and Wind Cries Mary, and is still available to purchase via Martin’s website, www.bottleneck-blues.com.
Cogwheel is very grateful to Martin for selling his CD in this way. The money raised will help us continue to provide affordable counselling for adults and children in Cambridgeshire.
